To become an International Learn to Swim Provider, you must meet and be able to show evidence of five minimum criteria for a Learn to Swim Programme provision.

These have been set by Swim England’s leadership teams to help you make sure your International Learn to Swim Provider Membership is the right scheme for you and your school.

If your school doesn’t meet all the criteria, Swim England can support new members to work towards the missing requirements within the first year of the membership. Please email [email protected] for queries related to the joining criteria.

Statement of Compliance

I confirm that as an International Learn to Swim Provider, our organisation will:

A) The International Learn to Swim Provider is delivering the Swim England Learn to Swim Programme.

B) All information submitted as evidence is a true and accurate record to the best of the International Learn to Swim Provider’s knowledge.

C) Have a dedicated welfare officer/safeguarding lead in post.

D) Teachers/Coaches are qualified to Swim England Level 2 standard or equivalent, for international schools/providers PE staff who are qualified with a physical education degree will be accepted. Copies of original certificates can be requested at any time.

E) Teachers/Coaches have an up-to-date relevant safeguarding/child protection training. Copies of original certificates can be requested at any time.

Before you can get access to your benefits and become an International Learn to Swim provider, you'll need to complete the compliance form at the end of this application. This will take around 10-15 minutes.

To remain a Swim England International Learn to Swim Provider, your centre must meet and be able to show evidence of the 5 membership criteria listed below.
